STAY AHEAD OF THE GAME Wouldn't it be nice to get "The Info" before you go fishing?
|
Based on my fishing the Cleveland area for the last 14 years, I will attempt to give out a fishing
forecast for our area. Much like the weather forecast, lol!
I stake no claim that it will be correct or accurate, nor do I offer any guarantees with my
suggestions. What I do guarantee is that the information I post here is what I will be doing out
there myself!
GOOD LUCK and TIGHT LINES!

Surface water temperature shows about 10 degrees warmer this year. Walleyes are in every
depth of water but not in large schools. You find them, work the same spot over and over.
Night fishing is still going on and should be going for the next couple of weeks all along the
shore from Lakewood park on east to Neff Rd. Shallow cranks 2.0 mph GPS speed. Stay in tight
and shallow.
Day time, in-line weights, 1 and 2 oz, with harnesses work in the shallows 12 to 30 fow 1.0 to 1.7
mph GPS speed. Walleyes should be found here for the next 2-4 weeks from Avon Point to East
Lake.
Good water depth for deeper water is 47 to 60 fow. Schools of eyes can be found from Avon
Point to East Lake. 2 and 3 oz in-line weights with harnesses 40 to 100 feet off the boards, 1.5
to 2.0 mph GPS. 40-Jets with spoons 40 to 80 feet off the boards, 2.0 to 2.5 mph GPS speed.
These fish should be within 10 miles off shore for the next month.
